I have 2 female cal kings that both seem to have the same problem and I need to know if this is
a problem with anyone else. Both females are very large (5') one was a first time breeder this year and is 5 years old.
The second is a proven breeder and is 6 years old.
The first female laid 10 eggs (9 good 1 bad)on 5/24 she retained two eggs and on 5/28 laid them (1 good 1 bad).
The second female laid 7 good and 3 bad eggs on 6/1 then 1 on 6/2 then 1 more on 6/3. She seems to be retaining at least 3 more.
I have a 3rd female who laid 14 perfect eggs. All of these females are unrelated.
My question is: Is this normal for these kings to lay eggs over several days or is there an underlying problem that should be looked into?
