I have been accused of "photo editing" and advertising an animal as something other than she really is hmmm....

BeginnersBasics Jan 04, 2004 01:43 PM

Some people arrrrgggggggg!!!

Below is what I got in email and my reply to him.....

In a message dated 1/4/2004 1:14:11 PM Eastern Standard Time, EMAIL ADDY EDITED.net writes:

wow you shouldnt use photo shop to alter pictures i put your picture in photoshop the contrast hue and saturation were altered

MY REPLY:
no, it now shows her true color. The original photo showed with far too much orange and after being adjusted it showed correctly...

See attached pic... the one showed too much orange and the altered one showed her correct coloring.

I do NOT edit to make my animals "look better"... I only edit to make them look their true colors! I would rather my animals arrived at their new homes looking better than they did in the pictures, as opposed to them looking nothing like the quality advertised.

This is the picture I sent him to compare the colors .. edited and not LOL

My camera does that with red... thankfully I'm not trying sell any red animals, but if I post pics I have to say... The photo does it TOO much justice!

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

just add the following to your site by pictures.

'photos are for example only and do not necessary reflect actual appearance of animal.'

or

'photo edited to closer represent actual animal as photos do not always show colour exactly to true.'

Ooooo I like the second one you wrote

Thing is, I have seen some of the dragons that this guy sells and they all "look painted"... I have been told they are not and that they are true colors on his animals, but some just look far too unbelievable LOL

Probably a boy right? Seems almost all the beautiful dragons are boys (except Carrick).

Nope it is a GIRL! LOL

My father headed back to Va and has his first radiation treatment tomorrow. My mother will be up there Wednesday and she is staying several weeks.

A beautiful girl!!! whaaaaaaaa!!
And we just shelled out big $$ for Christmas, a trip to MI and the day after we got back had to pay $400.00 for a furnace blower...which was the same day I locked my keys in my Jeep and had to call a locksmith 15 miles from home. But wait, there's more!!!!!
First I had a key made at the Jeep dealer, didn't work, drove 15 miles back to dealer, had another made, drove 15 miles back, didn't work either. What a day!!!!

But wait! there's even more!! I was at the Casino where I wasn't supposed to be when I locked the keys in the car. Not only did I forget my cell phone, I had to call already mad husband (dealing with the furnace guy) and ask him to drive 15 miles to come get me from where I was NOT supposed to be..

Oh yeah!!
Even more. At 10:45 that night, my pregnant daughter called, had to go to the ER due to dehydration.

I truly think you should donate her to me, it would make me forget that horrific day.

Before getting into this business, I worked as a graphic artist for over 10 years. I would like to know how someone can make such a ridiculous statement. There is NO WAY he can tell if you messed with the colors or if the color balance of the camera is off (most digital cameras are). He needs to learn to read a histogram! To make that kind of a statement shows his ignorance.

Just to show I am impartial, if you send her to me, I will let everyone know if the color is true or not.

I'm a web and graphic designer, and there's no way the guy could take your photo into Photoshop and tell if it was altered.

He's full of it and trying to get something out of you.

Don't let the moron get you down!
