A crested would probably love to sleep on a hammock... wouldn't need a ladder though... I've just got some drift wood and one of those choya sticks (inside of a cactus, has a bunch of holes, good for climbing). But my gecko thinks that nothing beats chilling on the the glass. Oh well...

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

I keep several of them, so I don't have time to sanitize cage furniture everytime the animals soil it. That said, I just give mine a nest box and several pieces of disposable egg crate for them to climb on and hide in. However, if you're trying to do something more naturalistic, you may consider putting a small ficus tree or a pothos (very common house plant) in the cage. You also need to remember, though, that everytime you "redecorate" the cage, it's going to be like putting your gecko in a new home, which is actually stressful for the gecko.

Since Cresteds come from a woodland habitat. I try to keep it basically woodland. My crested viv's are like: woodland meets rainforest. Or something like that. I keep my trio in 55 gallon tank. I've got about 4 or 5 inches of "dirt" at the bottom. Then I have really cool branches that my friend found with awesome lichen groth all over them. That is the basics of my cage. Then I have a stummp in there (the same kind of wood) which has a hole in it, that one of my females always uses as her egg laying site. Then I have lots and lots of plants in there. I use mostly thicker stemed plants that I just find at lowes or Franks or wherever. Most of it is made of this Plant that I think is called a banana plant(don't know why it's called that) Then I have various other "tropical foilage in there. I have ivy growing up all along the back side and sides of the tank. And then I have some creeping ficus here and thier as well. I also have alot of air plants stuck all over the place in there. Then there is some live mosses, different rocks, and some twigs with lichen growth on them. Alltogether, I think at least, it is a pretty kickin tank. Wow that was alot of words...
