I Need some help!!

herpin1579 Jan 04, 2004 03:34 PM

I just aquired two new beardies, posted below. I housed them together overnight. Today I seperated them and fed both some crikets and lettuce. Only the female wouldn't eat. She is around 9 1/2inches. As soon as I got them home yesterday I threw a few crickets in with them both and she ate. Why not now? Did I stress her to much by housing her together overnight. The temps at night are around 75 and during the day they each have a 110degree basking site and the cool side of the tanks are around 80. There is also i hide in each enclosure along with a water dish. Please help.

I wouldn't worry too much yet! Give her some time to adjust again. It is probably stress caused by a combination of shipping , being housed together and now a new tank.

She probably just needs some time to adjust to her new surroundings.
However, I would stay away from feeding your dragons alot of lettuce, and feed them dark leafy greens (Mustard greens, Turnip greens, Collard Greens...) instead because they are better for them.
