Do you feed the same sized meal on a regular basis?

I heard that some people vary the size of meals their snakes get - maybe one week 1 item, the next 2 items or use different sized prey every other week, etc. I was wondering if this is something a lot of people do? Also wondering the thinking/theory behind doing so? Pros or cons to this?

i dont see the point other than if they are overrun with mice, they might give them 2 mice per rat that they would give. I personally feed medium rats to my female BP (shes over 1100grams and she was born in april)....every saturday on a strict shedule.
