Davidmore1 Jan 04, 2004 04:40 PM

I have A male beardie six months old He is currently eating A salad in the morning with repcal pellets and then crickets every afternoon and a few mealworms every couple of weeks My question Is now that he is six months old should I cut down on the crickets to mabey every other day or should he keep getting crickets daily. If he still needs crickets daily at what age should I cut back on the crickets.

You should probably cut back as long as he is eating his veggies.
I feed mine 4 crickets every other day and he is also 6 months old.How big is your bearded dragon?

He is 16 inches long not sure of his weight but he looks solid not fat but not skinny.

Crickets once a day and salad every day with the crickets being dusted once every other day is find up to 8-12 months of age. Once a year old, just feed crickets 2-3 times a week, salad every day. Dust once a week should be fine.

I have a 6 month old who eats probably 30 crickets a day, sometimes more, plus greens and pellets. 4 every other day? Is this enough? Don't they need the protein from the crix?

I also give him waxworms.
