Maybe hes going into hibernation. Or maybe hes blocked up. Try to get him to poop by putting him in a container of water about 2" deep at room temperature. It works for mine.
Hope it helps

What's his day like? How long does he stay up for and is it everyday? Does he burrow under the substrate? Do you ever dig him out or does he come out on his own?

If the temps in his enclosure are dropping below 75F that may be the cause? I had the same problem when my night temps were getting too cool. It directly effected his appetite. Best of luck!

Thanx alot you guys but i have already thought of and tried everything you said. I have no idea whats wrong with him. To answer your question he doesnt burrow alot but when he does he comes out by himself usualy he just stays in his hide box. he usualy comes out once a day and walks around the cage. He also likes to sleep in his water bowl. His night temps a re just slightly lower than his day temps.

what are the temps in your enclosure and how big its the enclosure? It may be that he is to hot? If he is sleeping in his water bowl I guess that would send up a red flag for me. Sheeding issue, heat issue or parasite issue. If you post specifics about your setup mayble someone can help if it's environmental. If it is a parasite of some kind a vet would be your only best bet.

You said that you dropped a mouse in. Is that live prey? It could be, if you do feed live prey, that the mouse bit your Tegu and now he does not want to accept live food items. Have you tried to feed him anything other than mice? Chicken peeps, ground up turkey (w/or w/out eggs), day old quails, roaches, even large crickets? If you haven't already, I would offer a wide variety of food source. Some Tegus can be very picky eaters. Even if they do not seem that way at first. Also make sure your temps are right and make sure that his cage is not too humid or too dry. I know those two things can play a major factor in Tegus health.
