very sick female veiled!

nikih Jan 04, 2004 06:17 PM

my female veiled (2yrs) is just laying on the bottom of her cage. she seems to be very weak and shaky. lately our cats have been very interested in her and watch her cage. could this be stress or another problem? we have already moved her cage to a location that the cats dont have access to. what else could we do for her tonight? we cant take her to the vet until tomorrow morning so any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

thanks
niki

niki,

I am sure your cats added stress and exacerbated any existing problem. Here are some questions for you before anyone can help you:

how long have you had her?
what, if anything, have you changed recently (before the recent move)
what/how much does she eat
what/how often do you dust?
What sort of lights (basking and UVB) are you providing her?
how do you provide water?
could she be gravid (egg-carrying thru mating or not)?
what are her temps and humidity?
how big is here cage?

hopefully someone here can help but a trip to the vet is a good idea. Keep in mind he will (should!) ask you these same questions so be prepared.
