? about green tree frog enclosure

hjk Jan 04, 2004 07:36 PM

I have been keeping my two green tree frogs in a small plastic carrying cage with a small dish of water. I mist them daily. I feed them about 5 crickets each every 3-4 days. They have been doing good and eating good. I havent noticed any probs with them at all. I was jus wondering if there are any requirements that I dont have for them. I dont have anything for them to climb on, but they usually just sit at the top of the cage on the side. Once in awhile they come down to the water dish. And of course they come quickly when they see crickets being put in with them. Thanks.

I would upgrade them to a 10 or 15 gallon tank.I would add some branches for them and also make sure there water dish gets cleaned daily. Every thing else sounds pretty good.

since they are tree frogs they need branches and whatnot to climb on. obviously a water dish, maybe some little perching rocks, you know. what kind of substrate do you keep them on?also maybe some live plants or fake(up to you) they like the cover to hide in and it makes them feel more comfortable. do whats best for the froggies.do you have any light on them?also,a 15 gallon tank is much needed,20 is even better. for tree frogs, taller tanks are always better then longer.
