Wow! Four feet! Thats crazy. And I thought one of my girls was big.(41'') Two of my females have nearly patternless bellies. When they hatched they had nice bright pink patterns instead of the more common dark markings, as they have grown that pattern has faded. Is that what your male has? Either way do you still have that animal? Thanks for the pics.-Smokey

n/p
yes i still have him i will get some new pics when i get them up from brumation, his belly is patternless and was when i caught him in '00 but i beleive it to be from his age as i beleive he is old, i did breed him last year and all the babies had normal checkered bellies i have a near patternless belly female im gonna hook him up with this spring,,,,,thomas

Here is the link to a Calligaster I caught in a small town West of Houston. This is a great locality for them that has produced some exceptional looking animals. However they are very hard to flip here and most of them are DORS........Scott Wahlberg

Now that is a nice loking Calligaster! How big/old is that one? Thanks for sharing.-Smokey
That snake was around 18-20 inches and gorgeous. I found 21 last year and all were dors but that one, unfortinately that one escaped into the snake room this past winter and has not turned up since.Go Figure...........Scott Wahlberg
Still a little guy, but wont be long until he starts putting on the size!

I have prairies too, but have recently got into the moles as well.:Mark
more red.
Hell yeah! I was waiting for someone to post some moles. I personally like this one you have here more than the red phase. BTW, who did you get yours from? I want to get some this season, so if you think you will have a pair let me know! Thanks for posting those pics. I'm jealous.-Smokey
Yep, I hope to have some of the Va. moles like him. Also some more like the red one above, only pure FL. animals. If I get lucky I'll pair up a nice Pender co NC male with a female too. This GA. girl is a little young yet, but I think she's great. You know where to reach me, right?
