As a kid back in the '70's I remember collecting similar specimens in and around a few dairy farms in Glendale, Az. Some had patterns that were very much like eastern chain kings.
Neat snakes!

Is the Yuma Kingsnake a color phase of the Cal King, or an intergrade between a Cal and Mexican Black? I have a Mex Black/Cal King intergrade from SW Arizona that looks very similar to that snake. Greg

yes yuma kings are intergrades of splendida, californiae, nigritus, and once were considered a valid ssp.(l.g.yumensis) and still are to some incl.me! its kinda like the "brooksi" lots of folks consider them to be a valid ssp. but ///////? anyhoo,,,,,,,thomas

I agree with you Thomas. There is no mistaking a nice Yuma from the average Cal. King. Beautiful animals you have there!

Those are absolutely georgous Yumas. I've seen a few in the classifieds here and there, but none have had the classic Yuma look. Your animals are the real deal. Thanks again for posting such beautiful animals.

BTW, your speckleds are some of the best I've seen in a long time. I bred them about 10 years ago, and haven't seen any as nice as what I had until you posted those. Thanks again.
