IS HE SHEDDING? OR ABOUT TOO????

hi i was just wondering it my cal king is about to shed or has already gone thru the milky or blue stage...and just hasnt shed yet..i dont think so tho cuz i have had him for a week and wen i saw him at the store he wasnt in blue or ne thing..his belly scales which i thought were black seem to be getting lighter and almost a blue-grey color tho they could have been like that already..
the reason im asking is because i mist the cages just so i know the shed will go ok and there is enough humidity for it i dunno if it woould be necessary for him but i would like to do it anyway just so he will hopefully shed in 1 piece...maybe i should wait a few days he could just be about to go into the blue phase he ate 2 pinkys on saturday im thinking of moving him up to fuzzys as they said i could...soo anyone out there with cal kigns or that knows the answer that could help me i appreciate it thanks Chuck

well i'm not sure about your exact situation, but the signs are pretty simple. they usually go off feed for a few weeks before. the last time mine went 3 weeks without food before he did. he should be hiding most of the time. and then, yes, the eyes turn blue, and then its around a few days to a week after that that they actually shed. its pretty easy to tell just by looking at the skin if they are close, if you've had it a while then you can easily tell, but in your case since he's new it will be harder. he might start soaking a lot too. if he just ate than i would say its going to be a little while longer. and as the for the humidity, i have never done anything to increase it with mine and the sheds have always been perfect.
