Leo breeding setup with plastic boxes

bigdee Jan 05, 2004 01:06 AM

For the time being I cant afford the racks but I heard of stacking the boxes. I know about having to stack and unstack but it will be just a few boxes like 3-6 for now. Now how could I heat these without buying heat pads for each individual box.

...if you dont have alot of money to spend right away, is to set up a something simple and cheap.

Go to Farm and Fleet, or Menards, or even Home Depot. Look around at those garage storabge shelves. Pick one out. You'll probably want something other than the plastic ones. Something thats wood maybe. That will be your rack, and it doesn't cost much. Its easy to assemble and you can make the shelves any height that you want.

When you get it home and have it assembled to fit all your boxes on it, you'll want to put heat tape on it.

Its really easy and doesn't cost $300 like some of the racks on the market.

Thats what I did when I had a few unexpected babies and I had no room. I just got myself a $25 garage storage shelf, it had the wooden sheleves, put my boxes and heat tape on it and wa-la I had a rack to tye me over. It works just as well as any kind of rack.
Now I am getting some racks built for me for certain sizes that I need.

Hope this helps you out.
