Pleasant Surprise

TonyT Jan 05, 2004 10:06 AM

This morning I woke up and thought I would take a few pics of my imitator eggs so everyone could see how they are developing. While doing this I noticed my male was out so I decided to snap a few quick shots of him (since they usually hide when I try and get pics). As I was shooting pics of him I noticed a little surprise on his back. It was a little tad pole being piggy backed around the tank. Needless to say I am ecstatic about this. I have been looking through out the tank for tads but nothing yet. Anyway here are the pics (sorry not the best in the world).

Wow Tony, you're imitators MUST be really happy and comfortable in the vivarium you've given them. I haven't caught any of my pumilio's carrying tads yet (though I know they do!) Did you happen to see where the adult put the tad? Keep up the good work!

Randy,
Right now it is still on his back. I am hoping he puts it in one of the film canisters in the tank. There is alao a small water feature he could put it in but I am hoping for the canister.

LOL I hear what you are saying. I have several others I hope start giving up the tads soon. This hobby is very addictive but so much fun.

Good luck
