not eating after vacation

SittonJ Jan 05, 2004 10:17 AM

My gecko has not eaten since I have been back from a trip to visit family over the holidays. I left her with a clear ashtray full of worms for the week I was gone and I couldn't tell if she had eaten since there were so many left when I got back but she had pooped several times. She never ate out of a dish before - I always hand fed her. I figured she'd be starving when I got back but she won't eat at all!!! Not even when I hand feed her like before. Should I be worried? Is she just not eating because of the sudden increase in activity around the house? Temps/lighting are still all the same.

. . . I swear that leos can sense us getting our undies wadded up over their lack of eating, crapping, etc. . . . LOL.

My advice is to take the mealies out - and feed him in 3 days. She pooped a couple times on vacation - trust me - you don't do that on an empty stomach!!

Just chill a bit - enjoy your leo and wait. If anything, she's probably a little freaked at the noise and all the attention she's getting.
