A temp ? Freedom Breeders

kevintat2 Jan 05, 2004 12:49 PM

I have a freedom Breeder rack, for my juveniles. My problem is, the racks hot spot is set at 90, and is 90 from the midddle to the top, but the bottom ones are at 83-85. If I turn it up so the bottom ones are 90, the middle to the top are at 100. I was thinking I could put some hondarans in the bottom racks so not to waste the space, but I only whant to focus on bp's right now. (i know there are alot of breeders who use freedom breeders, so if you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kevin,

Since it is cooler towards the floor I would suggest adding another thermostat. That way you can use one for the lower tiers and the other for the upper tiers but you still probably see some temerature diffences but not as much.

Hope this helps you,
Steve Markevich
