eve. burned leg-looks fine

myrenite Jan 05, 2004 01:00 PM

you asked me to write abut this leg so i'm doing it. next day i went to a animal-doctor. he was very happy to see collared because he hasn't seen this kind of lizadrs.collareds are very rare in poland. he said it beautiful and looked at her for 10minutes before he started to look at het foot. he told to put some burn oiment on it and do it 2 times a day for a week just as you said to me i did it. so "burned foot" of my collared looked fine after week-curation. untill i saw on paper towels some blood. this pink skin which was under her hools started bleeding. it's fine now. it doesn't bleed. but i saw that she's quite apatic now. she doesn't jump as she used to. i don't know if it's because of this burn or maybe she's starting adapting or maybe it's because of winter. she eats a lot and drink normally. another thing is that 1.5 week ago she droped skin from her tail.. today i've observed that she did it again. maybe it's so because her weight is growing up. i wrote that she is little bit skinny. is it posibble if she's droping her skin only from tail? now she's little grey and her tail is almost white. and another question is about vitamin and calcium suplement. is product of Sera Reptimineral C apropriate for collareds?

to hear, that everybody is healthy and happy again, hehhee

As far as the skin, yes sounds as if he is just shedding, because hes growing. Mine sometimes slow up their eating also when they are going to shed, or even while they are sheding.

And yes, it can also be due to winter as you said, they naturally slow their eating.

As far as calcium and minerals, I always use "Miner-All" for indoor reptiles, its made by Sticky tongue.

Thats all I use, I try to feed their crickets,(that they eat) very well, with many good nutrious foods, so it will be good for the collared when he eats them.

Others may have different brands of vitimins or calcium that they may add in more posts. That will give you more of a selection.

I'm so glad you got back and let us know how he made out.

Thanks and please when you get a chance let us see a picture of him,
Oh and what is his name?? Sounds like you did a good job,

Take care,

Eve
