TANK SETUP FOR 2 ADULT LEOS...SOON TO BE 3...AND QUICK QUESTION

bmills Jun 04, 2003 07:17 PM

First off...I have a quick question. My adult albino female, she loves to eat mealies from my hand, but sometimes she gets close to my fingers. How bad would it hurt if she got my finger while taking the mealie out of it? Just curious.

Here is my tank setup. It's a 20 gallon long. I have 2 of my adult leos in it now, a normal and albino, and when my patternless gets old enough, she will be put in it too. Let me konw what you think.

Here is a view from the front...the whole tank at once.

Here is the same tank, just the left half of it.

And the same tank again, but just the right half this time.

I hope you all enjoy and I am MORE THAN HAPPY to read any comments from you, they are more than welcome. Thanks again.

cool tan does it get a little warm on that top hamock on the left side? Looks nice and jungle gym for them mine like to climb. Leos can bite amazingly hard especially if they think they have hold of some food. Adults can draw blood if they hook up right.

Yea, it gets hot up there, but they stay away from it during the day, they are always down below sleeping, at night though, it's the first place my albino goes.

What a nice set-up! I have my two leos in a 15 gallon tank, but I want to move them up to a 20, or a 25 gallon. :O)

Tanks looks good, lots of nice things for them to use so they dont get bored. As for the biting thing, havent ever been biten, but when my geckos eats her supers, she crunches them down in half easily and those things are pretty solid. One way you could reduce the likelyhood of her biting you is to give it to her out of the palms of your hands so she cant really get a good grip on anything, just an idea.

Thanks for the compliment. I will try the out of the palm of my hand. Have never been bitten, just wanted to see. From the picture a couple posts up, it looks liek they can hurt. I will try from my palm.
