a tail nip is when one beardie nips (bites) the tail of another. it can be minor or major and anything in between. Usually just put a little neosporin on it and let it heal. If its bad, close to the back legs you may need a vet. after it heals there is usually no problem. There can also be toe nips and some Beardies may even loose a foot. I have a rescue Beardie with a tail nip, missing most toes and a front foot. She is stil the boss of her enclosure, eats like a pig and is healthy in every other respect.

Nipped tails usually heal with proper care. However, the lost part of the tail will not regenerate. Many lizards will replace lost tail parts, but the beardies do not.
