My Male Mexican Black Kingsnake (which is 4 years old) Has always had perfect or near perfect sheds. But this time it's a little weird...
He blued up just fine, then about 2 days after bluing, he cleared up... So I was expecting to find a shed in the cage in a day or so... when he didn't shed I soaked him in warm water for half an hour ever 4-6 hours. I expected a shed out of him then, but guess what? He blued up again, cleared back up, but still has not shed! I have a humidifier in the room and the humidity is in the 65%-70% range (inside the cage) The daytime temps are 84, nitetime temps about 70-72. He always has fresh water, last time he ate was 3 weeks ago. (he normally wont eat around shed time like his sister will) I have never brumated this snake. Although he does seem healthy, he is moving a LOT slower than usual. no herky jerky movements or anything else weird like that. Just slow moving (which he usually does at shed time)
Any thoughts on this folks?
