I got couple questions first what is the best way to transport my ball to the vet etc.. Also how do I raise the tempature in my ball's cage if neccesary I got a lamp and a heat pad.

just use a pillow case...just make sure with all this cold weather you keep him warm during outside transporting...what type of cage/set up do you have? you only have one lamp and a heat pad? how big is the cage? pic's if you have them would be helpful...

I recently took my ball python to the vet to get it weighed. I used a small laundry bag but a pillow case would do fine. Be sure to turn up the heat in the car and all should be fine.

I put mine in a pillow case turned inside out and tie a know at the top. I then put that in a cooler with a carrying handle so that he can feel more secure and curl up feeling something below him and on his sides. If it's cold out put the heat on in your car and/or I put some of those warm hands in the cooler.

What are your temps now (both on warm side and cool side during day and night)? What kind of cage do you have (rubbermaid, glass tank, etc)? Pics would be most helpful.

Pillowcase, inside my shirt and coat in the winter.
What is the temp in the cage? What is the size of the cage, the wattage of the bulb, the size of the pad and the ambient of the house.

Best bet is raise the ambient with a higher wattage bulb. BUT FIRST know what the temps are with an accurate thermometer.

transporting the ball in a rubbermaid with a Tshirt used as a liner with holes in the top and a heatpack wrapped in the Tshirt. I use an IV bag the vet gave me from a pervious visit.
