Comparison of how the Sunglow & T-pos. Albino Black Ratsnakes are progressing

Jolliff Jan 05, 2004 10:03 PM

I am pretty excited about this new morph. Can't wait to produce Albino Licorice Sticks from this bloodline. The adult Sunglow is practically an all red snake with a pattern that is barely discernible. It "popped up" from the Leucistic bloodline from OH. The MD bloodline of Leucistics also has produced an Albino that seems to be similar. I feel it is an Albino Rusty (?).

I don't believe a Rusty is a hypo as they get pretty black as adults but I could be wrong.? This snake is a Brindle that I would consider the closest thing to a Hypo I could imagine.

Sweet snake too!!!!!...Where did you get that guy from ?

My original male sunglow is the result of a gravid wild caught leucistic that was bred back to one of her offspring as soon as he was mature enough.

Do you have any pictures of the original WC female to share?

Do you know who collected the leucistic and where the founder is? There are many doubts about the validity of a pure leucistic black rat snake. Just asking.
