Joshua Tree

Hello,

Im planning to go to Joshua Tree this coming weekend to do some hiking/walking. I wondered if anyone has been herping there and if they think we might see any herps there at this time of the year. Forecast is for 72-75 during the day and 45-48 at night. Obviously we are hoping to observe not collect anything. Thank you! Im adding this pic for your pleasure, im not sure what it will be.

In the Cottonwood Springs area, I’ve seen Side-blotched Lizard, Chuckwalla, and even a juvenile Desert Tortoise on 9 February. Oddly, the tortoise was located beneath a fallen yucca limb. Although, there is always a possibility to come across something, particularly juveniles, I would suspect Chuckwallas, Side-blotched Lizards, Fence Lizards, Spiny Lizards, Night Lizards and Speckled Rattlers to be the most likely to be found..
