Light Q

I got an exo terra infared spot light (75W). Will that interupt his sleeping habbits? When I turned it on tonight, he got right up in his basking spot. Should I worry about it? or should I just trust that if he's tired, he'll go to sleep?

I've read it's actually better for them to have the temp drop at night than not. The temp may even be able to go lower but I'm not 100% sure. He probably doesn't like the infrared spot if he got right up.
