How sensitive to noise/vibrations?

nautiboy Jan 06, 2004 03:09 AM

Hey,

I've got 2 ball pythons and a rainbow boa. I've just moved from a house to a small appartment and things are rather cramped here. I'm trying to figure out where I can put the cages. One of the big stumbling blocks is that in this cramped space I have a grand piano. :-O

So now my question is: how sensitive are they to noise and vibrations? I imagine they are fairly sensitive in terms of detection - does that also mean they'll be "unhappy" if they're close to the piano? If so, how far away would a reasonable distance be? Do they need to be in a separate room? Given that it's a 1 bedroom app't, that gets rather tricky ...

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dave

fairly sensative.......

they will not enjoy the music actually........

do it daytime and for short periods..........

don't place them on /in the piano........

Yeah, I wasn't planning on putting the snake on/in the piano. I was wondering more about how far away would a reasonable distance be? I know, as far as possible. But possible and reasonably possible are two very different beasts in this scenario.

So is 10' OK, 20' OK, should have a wall between to be OK ... ?

Thanks for any help.
