It's young...and aren't the pores hard to find on a male when it's young? I'm not sure of it's age, but I think it's less than 5" in length...although I could be wrong. There are definite bulges at the base of the tail as you can see in the pic.

In my opinion, it looks like a "she". it is a female for me. Some female do get big buldges that look like the ones that the males do have.
