Dexter is shedding frequently....

jakeleolizard Jan 06, 2004 11:14 AM

and I am assuming this is a good thing and not bad. He sheds like once a week lately... I would say he is about 6-8 months old. He doesn't seem to be gaining weight though... he isn't fat... but isn't boney.... is this about average for the amount he is shedding? Thanks.

They are growing alot at that age, hes getting longer thats probably why your not noticing weight so much. He will fill out.

Some of my older ones were shedding quite frequently last summer, and all of a sudden BULKED up and looked great, so
little Dexter, will be a handsome STUD real soon, LOL

Hey where Dexters picture? We love to see pics on here

Thanks a lot.. that is good to know... I have felt he doesn't like quite a plump as others on here.... but he eats... like 6 small crickets and maybe a waxworm in one setting... or maybe a giant mealworm and a wax worm or two....so he appears to be eating just fine....

I have been wanting to post a pic... but I don't have a digital camera... I am waiting til I know someone who can take one for me... I want one really bad....
