I just had a girl lay to really good looking eggs and I was wondering on what everyone uses for incubating substrate. I'm using vermiculite. Also how wet should the vermiculite be? i would love some help b/c i ave more eggs coming. thanks!

I just had my first hatch, but I've been using perlite. I use a 1:2 ratio of water
erlite (sometimes I added a bit more water) and so far, all of my eggs have done great.

I've had 3 out of four make it full term, pip the egg and never get out. I'm going to try increasing moisture to see if that helps. I don't know that the drier incubation substrate is the culprit, but I can't say that I've had good luck.
