Stenotrophomonas Maltophilia

chondro788 Jan 06, 2004 12:17 PM

I was wondering if anyone has ever found this organism in any cultures they have done. I did an oral swab on one of my Ball Pythons suffering from an RI and this organism was found. I know it is usually only susceptible to Bactrum (Trimethoprim Sulfa), and I wasn't sure if anyone has ever used this drug on a snake. Thanks in advance for any info,
Jason

Pearl`s Story

I just viewed and read the entire site. I'm very sorry to hear what happened with Pearl. However - it really has helped me realize the importance of keeping such close detailed notes and photos of my pets. I'm now thinking that I will keep a notebook near each tank. Thank you for bringing that awareness to me.
