Hopelessly confused

Noodle_Boy Jan 06, 2004 01:17 PM

Okay.. I woke up today on my day off at about.. 1:00pm. I pass by my leos tank and see him halfway out of his humid hide. I thought it odd since he only comes out at night, yet the day bulb was on. Anyway, I kneel down to watch him, and he darts on top of his hot hide. He stays there a minute, but soon begins trying to climb up the glass. After some thought I put my hand in the cage and help him to get out onto my hand. After this he seems to calm. However, after 15 minutes I put him back in his tank. I place him down on his hammok, and he lays there for a few minutes, only to start trying to climb on the glass again. Of course I take him out again, and even now he's in my hand as I type one handed. I'm just confused, do Leo's get nightmares or something?

Because some people have like psycic connections with their pets like me and you pet feels what you feel and vice versa like ur leo was up wen you were because of the connection.

Umm, i'm not too sure about that psychic connection thing. Anyway, i've seen alot of posts about geckos climbing glass. It was never a big deal, so maybe your gecko just has alot of energy or something. Sorry this isnt very helpful.

Some of my leos act like this, it is called the leo dance. I wouldn’t worry about it for now. Just keep a close eye on his weight and stools since he is acting differently than normal.

You could have startled him as you got out and bed and such.. Ii see all 4 of my geckos out and about at all times of the day. Unless he starts writing REDRUM and stands over you with a big knife while you sleep, I see no reason to be concered about him doing stuff in the daytime.

As for the climbing up glass, mine do this everytime I clean out their tank or move something around.. They calm down after a day or so and it's no problem.

Hope this helped. Dave
