Don't ya just love the post office?....I was supposed to recieve a gecko from geckolandusa.com through them by noon today...wasn't here then...wasn't here by 3 (which is the gauraunteed latest)...wasn't here by 4:30...so I called the local post office before they closed and they told me she hasn't even gotten there yet! I am so mad!!!! I hope she can make it through the night! I was told the sender can file a claim for the shipping costs at least since it's late. I think they also automatically insure up to a hundred dollars...hopefully it won't come down to that...besides the fact that she did cost more than that (though not by a great deal...), she's pretty and I'm so excited to be getting her!!!! Well...I'm just blowing off some steam so I'm gonna stop now...lol

she's so pretty...it'd be a shame to lose her because of usps...

I'm really sorry to hear about the delay. Definitely one of the trade offs with USPS, it's cheaper but less reliable sometimes, free in this case. Delta is the quickest (and most expensive) method, and in my opinion UPS is a close second. I've not had a delay with UPS yet.

I'm sure he packed her well, though; Rick knows what he's doing. As long as she's in the post office or other heated building and not on the back of a truck or in a cold warehouse, she'll probably be alright tonight. Could you meet them at the post office in the morning to pick her up first thing? I guess you'd have to know where she'd be loading up at, though. I suggest if they're not sending a special truck to your house in the morning, you track him down walking through the neighborhood if you know his route. That way it's outside the bare minimum it has to. It's going to be pertty dang cold tonight, so let's hope for the best.

Yeah...it's awefully darn cold...it's only 16 degrees out there now and it's almost 8:30! I wish I know the route of our mailperson, but I only know thier route on our street...and it's not very long! lol The mail is always here by 11:30 though...so it's not usually too incredibly late. Also, all the tracking system says is that she left thier los angeles facility on the 5th...there's no other info than that other than when and where they got her to begin with! Rick said he packed her with a 60 hour heat pack at least...so hopefully that helped...and hopefully she wasn't in a truck or warehouse. Anyway, only time will tell at this point...so I'll let y'all know what happens!
