I am just wondering, It seems strange because there are a lot of other mammals where the males have nipples. Do all rodent males not have nipples. Are there ather mammals that dont have nipples? Hope someone out there has an answere

Well, the obvious reason is that they don't need them. Trying to think of what males do vs don't ....hmmmm
Well, my male Bullmastiff doesn't seem to....but whether they were evident as a pup is beyond me. I am thinking most of the hooved animals I can think of...don't........

I bet they aren't nearly as impressive as those of a nursing mom.
Male mammals may have them....but they are not easy to find under all the fur.
That and people don't breed by natural selection as do animals.

Okay, well, the begged question for me soon becomes....why are we doing this?

Maybe boy mice 'have' them too.....but who can see them without shaving them down and getting out a magnifier. Someone want to do that??
I would check a male hairless rat if I had one....but I only have babies....so we are back to square one.
Someone want to shave a mouse down?? I can't, I got a closet to clean.

I have looked on pinky mice, and seen pictures of pinky rats, the females have them, they are plainly visible, but the males do not. Not at all not in any way. just Smooth tummy.
At one time Humans did breed by natural selection. i am not trying to argue, i am just curious.

Most if not all of these sites mention that the males do not have nipples.

P.S I dont know if the mice I looked at were still considered pinky's the were at the stage where hair was just starting to grow but they were not white yet.

Okay, I am pathetic. I went out to the freezer and looked at the adult male hairless I have vac sealed out there. No sign of nipples. I did NOT unbag him to look any closer. So it is conceivable that he has something. But that is the best I am doing today......it is 1 degree out there.
