I have a tank and I want to calculate exactly how many gallons it is. Is there a way to tell based on length/width/height? If so, what's the formula?

1 gallon equals .13368 cubic feet, so a tank that is 2x1x3.5 would be 52.3635 gallons
LxWxH /.13368
or the reverse 1 cubic foot = 7.4805 gallons
LxWXH X7.4805
231 cubic inches per gallon, so a tank 22"x18"x48" would be 82.285714 gallons
LxWxH /231
or the reverse
.004329 gallons = 1 cubic inch
LXWXH X.004329

awesome, thanks!
n/m
im not, but im good at the internet where I searched for gallons to cubic feet conversion chart.

Convert all of the tank measurements to feet. Then multiply all of the measurements together to obtain the volume of the tank in cubic feet.
Example: 2.5 x 1.1 x 1.5 = 4.125 cubic feet
Multiply this result by 7.4805 to obtain gallons
