communicating cresteds

lollipopgestapo Jan 06, 2004 09:01 PM

i read somewhere that when you have two or more cresties in a tank that they can communicate with each other through squeaks, squeals, etc.

does anyone that has a few cresteds in one tank find that to be true?

i just got one on christmas and im still waiting to see the sex of it. i dont think mine makes any noise, at least i dont think ive ever heard it.

thanks.

They sure do from my understanding. I only have a single male (got him this week too), but I used to hear them calling while we were closing up the store I worked in.

On the subject, I'm actually looking for sound clips of calls online. I remember seeing them somewhere, but can't find them. A buddy of mine and me are looking at starting a little side project in our lab on vocal repertoires in geckos and it might be fun to get a sonograph of cresty calls. I just need something to make him call first.
