Question about one of my leo's phase

StinaUIUC Jan 06, 2004 11:01 PM

What would she be considered? I thought she was just a normal when I bought her...but she has disrupted banding on her tail and back (minimal...but it's there)...so would she be a jungle or an abberant? Also, is she high yellow? I'd appreciate any responses!

This pic darkens her color up quite a bit...she's really pretty light in coloration...I think she might be a pastel...but I'm not sure... As far as her pattern goes I know she's a jungle, but does the stripe going basically the entire length of her tail mean anything? Again, I'd appreciate any responses.

The first leo you posted looks like an aberrant to me, and second is a very nice jungle. Your right the stripe on your leos tail looks cool, but it doesn’t make her a stripe because of the dark band over her back legs. If you mated her with another jungle or a striped male, I bet you could make some really nice babies. Good luck.

She's a very cool jungle at that. I doubt anyone has a good definition of a rainbow, but it used to be said that it was a stripe x reverse stripe x jungle, or some people said it was a gecko w/a striped tail and a broken neck band.

I'd call this a Rainbow if I had to classify one as that.

Either way, she's really nice and should give you some nice jungle (Maybe even stripe!) babies if paired up with the right male.

I'd also agree that your other girl is probably a jungle, due to the portion on her tail where it looks like it wasn't banded as a baby. Again, some may dispute this, but in my opinion (a very strict, anal opinion, at that), by the definition it would be a jungle as well.

By the other poster's definition of a Rainbow, this pic would be a...Rainbow Albino? Don't think so.
