I picked this guy up recently for $50. Somebody was advertising about him in a local paper as a 4ft columbian but when I got to the guys house the second I saw him I new he wasn't a columbian but I didn't know quite what he was. The twist to the story was that the guy that sold him to me left a live rat unsupervised in the boas 20gal long tank for 3 DAYS. If you look at the pics you can make out scars all over his tail and up his back. He just shed about 30 minutes ago and I took these pics and the scars are much much better than they were. I felt so bad for the poor thing I had to buy him off the guy. Later I found out he was a guyana redtail. Ironically the boa is the most mellow snake I've ever delt with. Unfortunately the rat also managed to chew up the boas face permanetly damaging his nostrils and his upper lip sticks straight out, which kind of look a little comical so I named him lips. Although you can't tell at all from the pics, he's extremely purple and his tail is to die for. The picks do not do him justice. Only frozen thawed from now on for this boy. Anyway, Ill shut up now, just wanted to share
