Colour Changes Through Age

I was just wondering how much a Gecko can change in colour as they age? Is there somewhere that i can see comparison pictures of a hatchling leopard Gecko and the same Leopard Gecko as an Adult?

I was told that most hatchlings are born with black bands and as they age the bands turn into spots. Is this True? Also is it true that a gecko can show no signs of carrot-tail as a hatchling and then actually be a carrot-tail as an adult?
