uro mali's temp. @ night ?

paulvespole Jan 07, 2004 12:32 AM

HI GANG! Please advise me of the average Temp. for nighttime? I've read that it should be between 60/70 degrees but higher can cause a Goiter-like condition. I'm considering buying the T-REX BLACK NIGHT SPOT BULBS SAY 50 OR 75 WATTS AS I HAVE NO OTHER SOURCE AND IT GETS COLD UP HERE IN BROOKLYN @ NIGHT.
THANK YOU,

PAUL VESPOLE

Paul-

Those temps should be fine at night - 60/70 degrees. I have some night lights in my anole tanks, who need a little bit higher night temps, and so far, they only raise the night temps a couple of degrees. I have not tried the T-Rex one, though. I have a regular red incandescent in one and an ESU Night Heat in the other. The ESU one raises 2-3 degrees, the red one only 1-2 degrees.

If it gets *really* cold in your house, you might need a ceramic heat emitter...?
