Hi
Firstly it is certainly a vet job, but I daresay you have that in hand. It could possibly be a prolapse anus but without being sure if the "red" is actually tissue it is not possible to be certain. To be on the safe side be sure that the prolapse is kept wet as a dried out prolapse is a bigger pain in the ass. (excuse the pun)
I have seen prolapses in snakes and lizards but never in my ceratophrys. Hope it gets sorted.

I have a Dendrobates galactonotus that poops out her guts from time to time. If I put her in a jar filled with water she manages to resorb her intestines.

If this is the problem maybe it will help with your Pac man toot.

Succes!

so should i wait a day or 2 and see what happens or should i take him to the vet?

'Fraid that is your call, the water thing can help if the prolapse has dried and needs to be soaked before going back. What I always do with any new complaint with my herps is to take it to the vet, find out what the problem is in their expert opinion. Once diagnosed and treated I then find out as much as I can about the cause and treatment of the problem. Armed with that knowlege I then feel more able to decide wether I can treat it myself next time round. At the end of the day a delay can cost dear so off to the expert first.
If it is a prolapse (and we still have no diagnosis) then often this can be dealt with. Hope that is reassuring.
