sick slider

aneil Jan 07, 2004 09:44 AM

I think my 3 year old slider is ailing. He is a little over 4 inches long and has been doing fine until yesterday. My wife noticed he didn't eat at all yesterday or today. This in itself is extremely unusual. He has been staying on the basking ramp looking very lethargic and occasionally makes little jerking movements with his head. I would greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thanks.

I would suggest a vet visit to find out what's going on.

In the mean time, raise the temp in your tank up to low 80`s. (80-84) and get into the vet as soon as you can.
