(corns just now started to hatch.....)...what were good...(not the 300 duds...LOL)
I believe you are also from PA and that you do not brumate your snakes? Have yours bred yet? ( I Guess So Judging By Your Last Post) I have had a male/female duo together that were not brumated, and haven't witnessed any actual breedings or copulations! She sheds again in the next couple of weeks, so they'll remain together. Have yours layed yet? I was thinking maybe it was our weather? Any advice since you've obviously had more luck than me? BTW, did you have any opals hatch yet?
I DID brumate this year and most years...not all....sometimes same snakes ...brumate one year and skip the next..don't matter...they know it's winter...they still get colder....my room temps drop in winter...even though i run heaters all day all night 363 days a year.....
I do live in Columbia ,PA
opals...not yet....may have them may not...it's an odds game..I use hets and double or even triple hets for them...I have a bunch of possibilities at the momment...due in ??? a month maybe...
yes i got alot of good eggs ,,and yes I got alot of duds...
some due to brumating and male didn't recover and make enough good sperm fast enough???
some due to male being too small?...
they have no excuse...males or females...they all were fed well and kept warm enough...(they just hate me)...always
....anyways...
your animals should have started chasing each other around sometime in March at least...
you sure you have a pair????
.....keep trying...better late than never...
