I just got my first thayeri kingsnake a few days ago and i was wondering if they needed UV lighting or if they do fine in a rack system? How large do they end up getting when full grown, and what size tub would be good for them in a rack?

No, they do not need UV light. They will do fine ina rack system. They mature out at 24-36 in. Anything the size of a 10-20 gallon aquarium would be just fine.
