Is there any difference in a leos behavior when they have a cage mate? n/p

They are quite social besides the males. When I had my male for 5 years. During the first 4 years he look quite lonely, and just went through normally daily routines. I decided to get a female. I didn't know how he would react, so I put her into a critter cage, and placed it in the tank, and observe through the week.
Once the male saw the gecko he never left the side of the tank. He slept by it, layed by it, and when I fed him he wouldn't eat. Then when I put the female in, he scared me but vibrating his tail amazingly fast. And then chased down the female and breed with her. Ever since that day they always slept, and layed on top of each other. One time Isaw them both sleeping in the corner of the tank.
