false anaconda?

anyone know what the scientific name for a false anconda is?

Never heard of it. Of course, I've only been dealing with snakes on a serious basis since 1955. Green anaconda is Eunectes murinus. Yellow anaconda is Eunectes notaeus.

well ben seigal has 3 albinos on his list , I know that that are a colubrid an from my atlas I get either hydrops or helicops wagler and i ve been keepin anacondas for quite some time.both yellow an green

I know for sure they are a colubrid. As for which genre and the exact scientific name, email the retailer and ask him. He could probably instruct you since he has the snakes in front of him.

This is the problem when a dealer or wholesaler decides to invent or use a local name to describe a snake they are not familiar with. Was it listed in KINGSNAKE classifieds? I will look for it and see if I can find something.

Because I asked. Homalopsis buccata. It's a semiaquatic rearfanged colubrid from southeast Asia. A more common name is the puff-faced water snake.
