T-Rex Tortoise Dry Formula?

mikey2231 Jan 07, 2004 09:17 PM

I was just wondering if this stuff is any good to give to my african spurred tortoise. He hasn't eaten anything I gave him. So i thought this would maybe work. Thanks

Mike.

Mike, not eating for a few days in a new home is no big deal. If you want to try tempting him, try a few dandelion leaves or flowers. A lot of tortoises can't resist those, and you can probably find some easily enough (just make sure they're not sprayed). Leave the food in with him, so he can eat when you're not watching.

? Any update?

No, he is still acting the same. He doesn't make those noises when he sleeps, only when he is awake. It looks like he has the hicups. I hope he gets better soon. I don't know if he's sick or not.

If you find the dry tortoise food appatizing and fancy a bit of it with milk, by all means have some. If not, place it very gently into the trash can because it is dangerous for your tortoise. Don't even let him see the package as you dump it, he may seize up on you.

or call a reptile rescue foundation around your house or you will end up letting the tortise die. HE IS SICK!
