wet stool...

kavanaugh_j Jan 07, 2004 10:18 PM

my leo has had wet stool the past 2 days, it looks greyish/whitish, almost resembling a slug. I know people will recommend the vet, but all I have in my area is regular cat/dog vets (5hr drive would be my closest specialist) ...would it be worth going to the everyday vet? Does anyone have any suggestions on what it is or anything? Thanks.

One or two isn't a big deal. It's like with humans, it just happens sometimes. If there's a problem, your gecko will continue to have them, start losing weight, and probably stop eating.

If it really worries you, call the regular vet and ask if you can bring in a stool sample for a fecal. It shouldn't cost too much and they should be able to identify any parasites or signs of parasites.
