Acquiring an Indigo

I was wondering about acquiring an Indigo snake.
From what I understand, you need certain permits to keep them, is that correct?
Also, who is a good source to get them from.

If you purchase from out of state, you will need a federal permit. In state transactions do not require this permit, but your individual state may require you to have a permit, which is the case here in IL.
