Trying to save my other amel.
Once I decapitate the pinky, should I feed him the head or the body?
Little guy is only about 10" and thinner than a pencil.
Has been holding lives for about 4 days before regurging and has defacated, so I thing it's a size of prey issue. It has been 2 weeks since last regurge.
Thanks in advance

I would try the head first. If that doesnt work try the tail of a nice size mouse.Keep track of the weight of your snake. If it's staying steady then your snake is at least getting some nourishment.Do the pinks come out looking slightly digested?Dont stop posting about a regurger most of us have been in your same shoes...Paul

Thanks for your support.
Yes they look somewhat digested, still pink but much smaller and no real distinction between head and body. The snake is active in the evening, exploring the cage etc. which is a good sign. I'm going to feed Sat AM and will update

Could the problem be nerves? I had a neonate not eat from the time it hatched in Aug, until I had it tube fed in mid Dec. It had lost a lot of weight & the vet suggested I feed it in a dim, almost dark room & leave it alone for 2 days. After the tubing & leaving a f/t pink in with it, it began to eat on it's own. With mine, it was apparently nerves. Just a thought! Good luck!
