StinaUIUC Jan 08, 2004 08:34 AM

Well my new leo finally got here...2 days later than she was supposed to thanks to usps... She's here and well though thanks to Ricks great packing! The heat pack is even still warm! She was scramblin' around in the deli cup when I opened the box and was half expecting to see a dead or at least half frozen gecko...lol She did not want to be in there! Anyway I'll post some pics later...but I have to get to the dentist now!

These were taken right after I put her in a temporary rubbermaid thing...lol Sorry they're so HUGE!!! If you can't see them or don't want to wait for them to load, you can go to their webshots album

just before I took her out of the deli cup

in front of her hide

in the water dish...lol

the handsome boy she's gonna get!...(I haven't gotten him yet, but he's paid for. He's a hypo tang rainwater albino) The two of them ought to make some gorgeous babies! She's het for rainwater and has some jungle genes (lol...that sounds funny)

She looks healthy and not much worse for the wear, though I imagine she's pretty stressed right now. I'm sure you know to pretty much let her be for at least couple days to reduce stress.

Next time though, if a breeder wants to use USPS I'd ask if he/she can send UPS overnight instead, especially in the middle of winter.

I'm glad there was a happy ending to this story but I hope you learned your lesson about letting anybody send you a live animal using USPS.
