Just a little observation. Jeff runs this forum. Which is a good thing, otherwise Rainbow keepers would have to wait a really long time to get their questions answered.

Kottonmouthking and Jaremy,
. Thank you for the very nice comments. Why do I post here? Two reasons: first and most importantly I think everyone who truly cares about reptiles should make some effort to educate others about what great animals they are. I participate in public education events with my local herp society and I hope that information here will help people to keep their snakes healthy and they will in turn promote reptiles to more people. Nothing works better to make people change their minds about reptiles than to see a knowledeable keeper showing them and telling them about a beautiful animal. Secondly the reputation I have on the internet helps me to sell the babies I produce. It bothers me that we do not have more people posting on this forum. I think it would be a better forum if more people came here asking questions and more people also came here answering them. I am very much a person who believes that there is more than one way to skin a cat. I would like to know what other experienced keepers and breeders do that works for them keeping and breeding Rainbow Boas. I have figured out over the years what works for me to raise baby Rainbow Boas and keep a moderately large collection of breeders healthy. I produce lots of babies some years and not so many some other years. There is a lot of information to still be learned and shared about breeding Rainbow Boas. We posted Rainbow Boa information in the Boa forum before we had this forum. I thought it was a mistake to make this forum just for Rainbow Boas because we would have fewer people participating. Many of the other specialized forums that were broken out of the large forums at the same time this forum started have the same problem that we have here. Too little participation. On the other hand, I still read the Boa forum and it seems that the number of people giving bad advice there has increased.

>>I agree. This forum is very slow and without Jeff many would wait a long time before getting a response. Without him Kingsnake would probably close this forum.

I also go to the Boa Forum, but it just doesn't have the same qualities as this one. I love being able to read specifically about the species I am working with, and yes, at least here, we KNOW that Jeff knows what he is talking about. On many of the other forums you have so many replies and so much misinformation.
We found setting up our enclosures for our brb's so much easier by having this forum to read. Maybe we all need to be a little more chatty to keep the traffic flowing and this forum open! I know it is a valuable resource I would hate to lose.

I don't write often, though I read the forum as often as I can, and I always enjoy what Jeff has to say, he speaks with great experience and love for his animals, and Rainbows especially.
My two Rainbows certainly appreciate his insight.

I visit this forum daily except for missing 2 to 3 days each month since I realized it was here. I used read the RAINBOW FORUM before I found Kingsnake and still check it from time to time, but nothing is going on there. Often the questions are ones I don't have any experience with and do not reply when I have no answer.
I have to admit that if it wasn't forums like these, my snakes when not have done so well. I see posts that comment about lots of good info on rainbows, but I couldn't (and still can't) find it. I luckily came across Jeff's info page but I still wanted more. Now when I see other caresheets, etc. I know what doesn't sound right and it's really amusing how so many almost exactly mimick Jeff's. I actually have seen only a few that give him credit.
I think some of us regulars need to post more. It would be better if more diverse discussions took place. I will try to do better and hope others will to.

thanks Jeff for running this forum, I would like to participated more my grammar is not too good, English is not my first language, Thanks again Jeff
like you can see
There's lots of people using incorrect grammer on forums....I think you do fine. The ability to use proper grammer does not mean you have knowledge.Where are you from? I think it's cool people from all over and in other countries can use this forum.
